Leslie is hands-on owner and General Manager, overseeing all aspects of EDCO. She has over 18 year’s of experience in manufacturing and 30 plus years in management and training of individuals and core teams.  Leslie earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin in 1986 and PMP, Project Management Professional Certification, in 2006.  Following 5 years as Operations Manager of aluminum boat builder Workskiff, Leslie joined EDCO in 2006 as Project Assistant to the President and began her journey learning the company inside and out. In 2014 she joined EDCO’s founder as co-owner of the company and in 2017 took full ownership of EDCO. She is dedicated to “servant leadership”, working each day to help her entire team succeed and grow. She takes that dedication on the road whenever she is able, and works closely with local high schools, technical schools and universities to help develop a strong manufacturing community for the future.

Adam Taylor

Working in the construction and metal trades is a family tradition for Adam – his family has spent decades working in the Puget Sound metal fabrication industry. Following 8 years serving the Kiewit Corporation, Adam joined EDCO (and his uncle Bill Taylor) in 2013.  In 2017 he replaced his uncle as EDCO’s Vice President. Adam’s background includes experience working in all phases of construction and project management on jobs ranging from several thousand to hundreds of millions of dollars.  Adam has a “lead by doing” management style and he is committed to promoting a collaborative work environment between craftspeople and engineers. His favorite aspects of working in the steel industry are the relationships and friendships developed with customers and suppliers and EDCO’s involvement in the local economy. Adam’s responsibilities include leadership in sales, business development and estimating as well as day to day project implementation and execution. He specializes in technically complex projects and regularly serves customers including The Boeing Company, Electroimpact, US Military and regional General Contractors.

Mark Vorobik

Mark is the Founder and former President of EDCO. He received his B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Washington in 1974. He is a long-time member of both ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) and AWS (American Welding Society), and is currently a member of the NW Workforce Development Council. Mark has 45+ years experience in the metal trades and plays an important role at EDCO as an advisor and by working alongside the team to help long time customer Harbor Offshore.

William Taylor

Bill has 48+ years of experience in the metal trades and is a key member of our estimating team. Bill served as Vice President of EDCO for over 13 years prior to his nephew Adam taking on the role. Bill received his Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Seattle University in 1966. His breadth of experience includes estimating, sales, design, management and ownership involving metal fabrication for a wide range of industries including but not limited to cement, pulp and paper, marine, cruise lines, oil, petro-chemical, and aluminum.  Bill’s design, engineering and project management leadership have helped EDCO to serve customers such as the James Brinkley Company, La Farge N-A, Cap Sante International, Ash Grove Cement, Fugro Seafloor Surveys, CDM Constructors, Prysmian, Kiewit and General Construction with distinction.

Scott Wakeman

Senior Project Manager, CWI and NDT Level II Inspector

Scott has 25+ years of experience in the metal trades with 20 years of service in the US Navy, 3 years with Newell Corp., and 10 years with SIS Northwest/Snelson Co. Scott joined EDCO in May of 2010. In the US Navy, he was trained in the areas of Total Quality Management and Total Quality Leadership and served as an aviation safety specialist and an electronics instructor. With Newell Corp., (a precision machining and fabrication company), his primary focus was on Quality Management. At SIS Northwest/Snelson, (an AISC certified Fabrication Company with endorsements for major bridge, fracture critical and sophisticated paint endorsements), Scott performed duties including QA Manager, Fabrication Manager, Project Management and Industrial Coatings Manager.  Scott is an AWS Certified Weld Inspector.  He earned his CWI credentials in 2003 and 2010 and is an NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) MT/PT Level II Inspector.  Scott assists in our Process Control program related to Welding, Material Preparation, and Materials Coatings.  During his career he has maintained AWS, ASME, AWS, ASTM and AISC records, logs and calibrations. He has tested and certified welders and fitters to ASME, AWS and ensured AISC compliance. He has checked materials for certifications & material test reports. He has setup all processes and procedures for SAW, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW and GTAW welding. As Project Manager, Scott now serves the US NAVY, Alaskan Marine, Industrial and Infrastructure customers, Exxon Mobil, Harbor Offshore, and PSE, among others.

Drew Elmquist

Engineer and Project Manager

Drew holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Saint Martin’s University and over 8 years of experience in project management. After obtaining his BS in Civil Engineering and Washington State Engineer In-Training Certificate, he worked for Richmond Engineering and Specialty Steel Fabricators as a project manager and designer. During this time, he managed every phase of construction from bid to installation, primarily in metal fabrications, industrial roll handling equipment, and structural steel. On the equipment side, he worked on design, detailing, fabrication, and installation of diverse projects. Drew has 8 years experience in bidding, detailing, and fabricating structural steel. Drew joined EDCO in October, 2014 as a Project Manager and now serves the US NAVY, SAIC, Alcoa, Harbor Offshore, and Team Corporation, among others.

Tasha St Clair

Industrial Design Engineer and Project Manager

Tasha has over 10 years’ experience in project management and detailing with concentrations in CATIA, Solidworks and Autodesk Inventor. Tasha graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Industrial Engineering with Specialization in Vehicle Design. During her time studying at Western, she was a 4-year team member of the Baja SAE team and graduated Senior of the Year for the Vehicle Research Institute. After graduation, Tasha was hired as a Project Engineer at In Mold Technology which is a specialty plastics injection molding company servicing North America. With the company’s manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China, she spent the majority of her time managing her Chinese counterparts and was the “face of the company” to the end customer. Tasha also subcontracted as a Design Engineer for a small plastics manufacturing company, Noble Notions, where she used Solidworks exclusively for product design and modeling. Tasha joined EDCO in October, 2014 in the position of Project Manager and now serves The Boeing Company and our Wind Energy customers among others.

Garth McMurtrey

Garth holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Saint Martin’s University and EIT certification from Washington State. Garth has been designing, detailing, and checking drawings for over 20 years. He started his engineering career in 1995 at Vaughan Company (a pump manufacturer in Montesano, Washington) where he managed customer relations, designed custom installations, and kept track of detailed records for projects. After Vaughan Company, he moved to Jacobs Engineering (a diverse consulting engineering firm). At Jacobs, he produced original designs and checked other’s designs for fish hatchery work and performed the duties of mechanical inspector for construction of a sewage treatment pump station facility. Since Jacobs Engineering, he has designed tunnel boring machines for Robbins Company and recycling machines for Krause Manufacturing. He is fluent in mechanical, architectural, structural, electrical and civil drawings. Garth joined EDCO in December 2014 in the position of Project Manager and now serves Harbor Offshore, Pacific Netting Products, The Boeing Company, and TSI, among others.

Joseph McKenna

Engineer and Project Manager

Joseph received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University in 2015. Before completing his engineering degree, Joseph contracted to The Boeing Company to help design and construct a system that automatically replaces end-mill inserts and designed and tested Solid Oxide Fuel Cell components at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory / Department of Energy.  After receiving his degree at WSU, Joseph worked as a Product Engineer at Adecco Engineering & Technology before joining EDCO in late 2016 as a Project Manager. Joseph serves Harbor Offshore, PACCAR, PVL Technologies, Janicki Bioenergy, Skagit County Public Works, and FedEx, among others.
